Alright; this has been put up on another board too,  but people like this need to be noted, even if I can't use their name....
A webTV user, who lives in my city, and whom I have never met (I think), has offered to give me (that's give me) an unused Sony INT-W200 !!! This incredible generosity comes hard on the heels of Rogers' Grinch-like decision to abort their iTV connection with less than a months notice.
I am stunned by the offer. I fully intend to take him/her up on it, and I fully intend (at the very least) to nominate him/her for webTVer of the century, even if I have to build the award by hand.
User names will be released only upon my being given permission to do so.

That's great news Sandy! After hearing what Rogers has done all I could do was shake my head.

Ain't it amazing? Just when you think you have people all figured out, along comes a completely different example of the species showing you a much different, brighter side of the coin.
Absolutely unbelievable. I talked to my benefactor yesterday, and I told her she had to let me do something for her. Well, apparently she doesn't;  she, and I quote, 'just wanted to do something nice for someone' because of Rogers' little rug-pulling stunt.
And THEN, she insisted I also accept a printer!!!
I don't care what she says. Someday I will find a way to do something for this incredibly generous lady.
