Php Upgraded
« on: December 17, 2004, 02:43:59 PM »

We have upgraded Php to version 4.3.10. This upgrade was done for security reasons as an exploit was found in the previous version. There have been reports of this version of Php causing problems with some old scripts. If your script suddenly fails to work this could be the reason. Please email me with the error message you are getting as there is a fix for some scripts.

:huh:Hi Bert.  I was wondering if we can use the image filters in PHP.  I can't seem to get it to work.  Get a fatal error, call to unknown function.  It requires the bundled version of GD which I have installed, but its not working.  Any ideas on this.  Thanks.  Linda

Hi Linda.
I'll email you about this as I will need to know what script you are using and what directory it's in.

Just to archive the answer to this. Linda was wanting to use the "imagefilter" php command. Unfortunately that is a php  5 only command and will not work on our servers:

Thanks for the php upgrade information. Wishful thinking for a command that would tell us where the error is in the GD php scripts in plain English.  I have the line count.php which helps some. gr

Better yet, have it where we can produce our own language program and it actually work. Example: I need to have this picture, bigbadwolf.jpg, showing NOW. Stay the course....webspider.
(I am not dead but definetly will cut and run  )

Hi Lila,
Sorry, but I'm not understanding the problem with bigbadwolf.jpg. Can you give me some more information?

Thanks,

The below is a txt page I am studying. The bigbadwolf.jpg was an example of the learning of php. No problems other than my own in trying to get the codes 'alive'. Problems are not with our zboxhosting. It is still great.

The GD Library is great for us.  I am not good at scripting, or explaining. but hate to give up learning. (smile)

PS. I sent you an email on pmt plan questions. (OT)
