What 'ya got there??
|
And this post will be devoted to our big beautiful Miss Tootsie. Toots is our "designer" kitty. Me and Rox decided we wanted a new kitten. We decided a pure white one with blue eyes would be neat if we could find one. Rox asked around at work and it just so happened that one of her friends had a litter of pure white kittens and one had blue eyes! Fate being the way it is, the day before we were goiing to get the new kitten, she was killed in an accident. But she offered her sister to us instead. And so Toots entered our lives. And we did get ONE blue eye. (Yes, Toots has one green eye and one blue eye.) As a kitten she was a little hellion! She would literally climb the walls she had so much pent up energy. And she loved to play fetch with bottlecaps.

Now she is a big adult and full of attitude. She gets along just fine with Miss Kitty our eldest. But her and Dude and Miss Elvira are always getting into it. Some cats just get along with others better. And of course we have spolied her rotten.

Does Miss Tootsie hear ok? Most white cats with eyes like hers are deaf.
She's a pretty girl, and deserves to be spoiled rotten

i was going to ask about her hearing too .. maybe it's white cats with two blue eyes that are usually deaf
the genetic stuff with cats always seems to hold true .. but it's amazing how many people don't automatically know that a calico cat is female
toots is a doll .. she looks like she's grown into a nice-sized kitty

Hi ya cat, great to see ya here! and yes, calicos and torties are 99.9 % females, but they can be a male - which will be sterile. I have seen one, but we can be pretty certain it's female, but not always :-)
