I had to put my old girl down this morning, she was in a lot of pain that I couldn't control. Yes, she was an old girl - 13yrs 4mths - but she was just one of THE BEST dogs I've had. It will take me a long time to get over this. This bad pain came on quick, 2 days ago she started acting weird, and by 4am this morning, I knew this had to be done. I couldn't stand to see her like that. We're (Vets and I) are pretty sure she had a brain tumor; symptoms started in Feb, and continued to slowly get worse, until Tuesday, when they ran wild.
She was such a great friend........... d

Awwww Donna. I am so sorry. Losing a family member like this is very hard. They are NOT just dogs and cats after all.
((((Donna))))

{{{{{{{{{donna}}}}}} My heart is breaking for you. I really do understand and know that no words can make your hurt go away. It takes time. Keep hold of of the joy, love, and friendship that Sammi has given to you through the years. {{{{{{{{HUGZ}}}}}}}} Rox.

It's a month later, I'm doing better, unless you count my blood pressure...
I still miss my girl alot, and accidently call mocha "sammi" sometimes, but we're all adjusting... slowly....

Hang in there Donna... it's just like losing a child. It took me close to a year before that wrenching catch in my gut subsided. It defines the word "heartache" when we lose our furry loved ones. I put pictures of Short Legs all over my house after she died. It helped to be able to look anywhere and see her face. It'll get better, but that little twinge will always be there when we think of them. But it mellows out into a warm pleasant feeling when she drifts through my memory now. Love ya! Suz
