Creating a subdomain -- ??

I want to make a subdomain "name.colliope.com" and I see in the Control Panel where to do this. But once I create a subdomain, where do I put the files I want to use on it? This will be for something totally unrelated to my main site, so I can't visualize where my files will go/are supposed to go that will be used with that subdomain name? Hope my question makes sense.

Hi Col,
Yup makes perfect sense to me. You create a sub in Cpanel. That will create a new directory in your root with the name of your sub. You place all files you want for that sub in that directory. As far as the web is concenrned it will act totally independent of your main domain.
