Z I'd like all the forums u mentioned on your poll. I clicked the webtv button.
I'd like to create a gathering place for present and former msntv users to meet. There are a lot of gurus who've left msntv, but who've remained on good terms with MSNTV users. A lot of them are msntv gurus, who offer many tools, tutes, etc to us.
It would be wonderful to develop a data base of msntv user knowledge. This is especially important since http://net4tv.com/voice/ stopped publishing.
I'd have a lot of energy for organizing such a thing, perhaps even with a newsletter for msntv users.
I suspect some former msntv users would appreciate being able o promote their current websites, online businesses and projects to msntv users.
We can teach each other scripting, coding, etc. We can swap tools.
And I'll bet some former msntv users, now on pcs, would be willing to help out with hybridizing msntv use, by providing some pc-only stuff to msntv users (flash, for example).
It could benefit all of us.
Nobody else is doing this sort of thing right now. There's a great need. I'm sure there would be a lot of interest. It would be great PR for zbox, for zbox hostees and for the former and current msntv community.
And, since the dot.com crash is now recovering (askJeeves, for example, almost went bankrupt during the crash, but recently hired 200 employees), we could be on the ground floor of what could turn out to be a very profitable business venture.
We could develop multiple-platform services which could run on: cable boxes, closed-circuit boxes (as used in motels, for instance), and elsewhere.
Dudette, for instance, is writing cable box games in countries like The Netherlands.

Hi Rogi, I feel that is an excellent idea. But the problem me and others have found out is that the majority of Webtv users simply will NOT use Web forums such as this. As you can see from the absolute lack of posts form ANY of our webtv users in the last couple of months. That was why I created our Webtv newsgroup. Webtv folks are just far more comfortable with that format which they know. Folks have tried re-uniting the former Webtv gone to PC and regular Webtv community with apathetic results at best. The recent example of that to me is Patrick's "Webnuts" forum. There are some serious former Webtv guru's there, but the problem is the Webtv users just don't want to go there. Webtv's dinosaur browser compounds the problem. It's really tough getting these modern browser enhanced message boards and also portals to work decently with Webtv. I got lucky with your blog in that I found a script that you could just use bits and pieces of. And as you know the results are ok on Webtv, but it looks a heck of alot better on the PC. That IMHO is what is REALLY enlarging the gap between former and current Webtv users. The lack of a modern browser on Webtv's end.

Maybe I'm stupid or don't pay close enough attention. Is there an area re: html, coding, PHP, DHTML, scripts, etc?
I need some tutorial help. I need people's life experiences with building websites.
I have an idea for an art instilation: scopes, tables, etc. built on LBBs, projected on LARGE screens, at museums. I'd like it to be an interactive exhibit; let people click on things and be INTERACTIVE with interactive TV.
Before the LBB fades entirely into obscurity, I'd like to preserve a living record of our art and show it around the country!
I'm already investigating a grant, to make that happen. I need to find what's left of the table/scope, etc. artists' community to get their contributions & suggestions.
I need a forum to toss ideas, test bed crap, get feedback and LEARN STUFF!
Waddya think?
