Well you know how long "soon" is in Bert years right?

Actually I'm still working out the bugs. And there are a bunch. But hopefully in the next week we'll have an announcement regarding MagickStudio.

Ok we have one last major bug to iron out with the MagickStudio script. This installation will be the new 1.7 version. Also some details about how we are going to run it. This will not be a public MagickStudio. It will require a username and password to gain access. For ZboX hosting members all you will need do is request a username and password. It will also be available to non ZboX users, however that will require a one time subscription fee. We haven't settled on a price yet, but the reason for the fee will be to keep the userbase down to serious users. MagickStudio can crank up a fairly hefty diskspace alottment per user so we want to make sure the space is used optimally and not by folks just blipping around. I know that's going to raise some eyebrows in the Webtv community, but I feel this is the best way to handle this.

Hi FC,
Actually the Server move from Nova to Aries kind of interuppted things. As that was kind of an emergency thing and happened sooner than I wanted it to. The MagickStudio installation was involved in the move as it was originally on Nova. I did get in some preliminary testing and all appears well. And it works on Aries even better than on Nova!

I'm sending you an email regarding this.

Just an FYI. Our MagickStudio installation has been moved to it's permanent home on Aries. All appears to be working fine. I'm now working on getting a front end working for it in order to allow all of our members to log in to it. This will be a cookied log in so once you get yourself logged in you won't have to retype your login info each time.

Upon further reflection, we have decided to not offer this service to non ZboX members. And this service will be available to all ZboX hosting plans. I know this will dissapoint some folks but we feel this is the best way to work this. For any non ZboXian who really wants to use our MagickStudio service, all you need do is purchase one of our hosting plans and you will have full access to our MagickStudio. And yes that includes our 10 meg plan for 10 dollars per year. And don't forget about our 90 day money back guarantee.

As a matter of interest, wouldn't it be just as easy to put a link in Ziteman, a la C-Panel etc.? That way users would be signed in via their FMs. Jes' askin'...

Hi Sandy,
Yup. I am going to do that too. But MagickStudio will still need a front end in order to let users change their passwords etc.
