Bryce is a great 3d image creation tool. And for a very limited time it's available for free:

Yes Bryce 5.0 is dated, but after you dowonload your free copy, if you sign up for a free account at Artzone you can upgrade your free copy of Bryce 5 to Bryce 5.5 for $19.95:

Bryce 5.5 offers several improvements over Bryce 5 including faster rendering times. But, even if you don't want the upgrade Bryce 5.0 is a very powerful 3d image creation tool, and it's just fun to play with.

Yeaaaaaa!  I have played in Bryce a little and had a lot of fun!
And Free is a good thang, so I signed up! Oh but BTW, you only have until Sept. 6th to take advantage of this offer! So, Hurrah, hurrah, hurrah, LOL
