All 4 of our kitties began to "cat yeowller", night before last. They were peering out the patio doors. I looked, to see a young gray tabby, of sorts, rubbing all over the glass door. Well of course, I had to put some food out for "her". She was a little pig! Probably hadn't eaten for a few days.
Bert just couldn't stand it LOL He had to go out and pick her up. Well she is a lover! Snuggled right up to him. Next thing I know we are fixing a place in our shop/garage for her to sleep for the night. ( it was cold outside) Next morning I let her outside. ( hoping she would go home, or at least find another house to mooch off of) Ohhhh Noooo, not her! Looks like she is doing a pretty good job on us! Using all her "Feline" puuurrrsuasions.
Well we were thinking of taking her to a shelter, but found out, that if they can't find her a home, they would put her to sleep. So yes, we still have her, and our other 4 are not very thrilled. We are keeping her out in the shop, and are going to introduce her slowly to the others. It is still up in the air, as to wether we will keep her, or try to find her a home.
We did find out that some neighbors down the way moved...we are thinking they moved, and left her behind. That really fries my tush!!
We'll let ya'll know how "THIS" adventure turns out.
And no, we haven't named her, but we are thinkin' on it. LOL
...;-) Rox

And I tell ya this little one is a Pro! I know she's been hanging around for at least a month as I seen her hanging out at the edge of our back yard whilst Dude stood guard over his territory. Dude wasn't being aggressive but was making sure he was between her and the house. So she waited until the time was right and made her move. And wow! She is expert at tugging on the heart strings. She seems a little malnurished as right now all she really wants to do is eat and then get into her box and sleep. But when one of us comes out into the shop she's right there begging to be picked up. And when you do she starts rubbing herself all over you. Marking you with her sent so the others can smell her. I've actually gotten hissed at a couple of times by Dude and Tootsie as I reached down to pet them and they could smell her on my hand. We are getting owned big time folks LOL! It's still not written in stone that we are going to keep her. But we'll keep her in the shop for a couple of months and slowly start introducing her sent around the house. It's going to be interesting to say the least. Miss Tootsie will not accept her as she hasn't even accepted Dude and Miss Elvira. And Toots is big and intimidating, but the three of them have worked out a sort of equilibrium, albeit with the occaisonal fisticuffs. I'm guessing the new one is around eight or nine months old but very large for her age. So Toots might meet her match in this one. Her markings are gorgeous. Her face is all grey tabby, but except for the rings on her tail the rest of her body is all large dark puzzle like markings with a very cool pattern down her back. Very hard to describe.
Our first order of business will be to take her to the vet and get her checked and up to date on her shots. Followed by getting her fixed. If we do have to give her up it will be much easier that way. Although frankly a bunch of kittens running around the house again would be a hoot, but Rox threatens to smack me around alot with a very large trout when I even think of it.
