What 'ya got there??

At approximately 12:30 PM Pacific time a network switch at our LA datacenter failed. Several attempts to reboot the switch failed. The switch was then replaced and no further issues are anticipated. The problem doesn't show as downtime in our online server status page as the servers themselves were not down. You just couldn't get to them. This is another example of the proactive server management we have. Switches and routers etc will fail from time to time. Thanks to our management team the problem was proactively dealt with and the switch replaced.

Anything on why I couldn't access anything zbox on Sunday for about a half hour or so?

Doh! Haven't had enough coffee yet! I forgot to mention that if ZboX appears to be down use this emergency email addy:

That goes to our E.I.C. server which is in another datacenter and on a different network than Mig and Aries.

hey youz guyz i noticed that some websites down around sunday not just zbox afew web forums im in where down im wounding if there was some outage or something ,, i kept geting server cant connect pages on afew different servers it was like half the places id goto would connect and the other half dident i was not sure if it was firefox spazzing out my network connection or them servers got hit with something that was trolling around or they all went down for maintenace or embarq was messing with me . later everything was ok

The mail delivery failure was from a while back (and I can't remember what the issue was about then - but I either contacted you thru Hotmail or got up with Rox) - and since I couldn't connect to anything zbox - I just took a stab with the hotmail addy as I didn't know if the zbox addy would work since nothing else zbox seemed to be functional. zbox & hotmail are the only email addys I had for you - had to use what I could.
I had troubles getting in between 7am eastern (soon after I woke up) and 7:30ish.
My PC opens to my email - so I knew I had an online connection - email opened, messenger opened, but when I went to open an IE page (and I tried FF too) which opens to my FKey - nothing. Tried both FMs - nothing, neither of my site homepages would come up - .net or .com and I tried the forum and Jerry's sites too - nothing - Page Cannot be Displayed. And I didn't email you until I had tried everything I could think of - so that was close to 7:30 - and then poof - everything was back like nothing had happened at all.
Unlike Jerry - I had no problems with any other sites that I tried, but usually at that hour on Sunday I'm only working in Yahoo Groups to do the Sunday Funnies.
