Some cat pics you haven't seen

Some later stuff here. Most are maybe a year and a half old. Right before Rox went to Oregon. Included are some finally good pics of Miss Elvira. And what I believe is the last pic we ever got of Miss Happy.

Well to us "Missy" is Miss Kitty. Our eldest at 16. She's doing just fine and is as spry as ever. Miss Happy aka "Hap" was Dudes (and the rest of the "boys") mom and she's the one that disappeared the year before we came here to Oregon. Dude mourned for a time, but then got on with his life. I can't believe he is going to be six years old this June!

We still miss Hap. And always will.  She was such a beautiful and neat little cat. And with a sense of humor to boot. And she was a hunter. I'll remember one day during the summer Hap was eating out of her bowl we had next to the rear outside door in the kitchen. We didn't have a screen on the door. All of a sudden a bird flew into the kitchen through the door. Hap just sprang straight up about 4 feet and grabbed that bird right out of mid air! Rox screamed and I came runnin! Hap took the bird out to the back yard but I was able to get it away from her and saved it. After she had the kittens she'd try to bring little critters she caught in to the house to teach the boys how to hunt. We put our foot down over that. So instead of critters, she started catching the big wood moths we had there in Texas. They were about the size of your hand with their wings spread. We figured Hap was trying to make a compromise with us and we let her bring those in. She'd call to the boys and then let the moth go. It was a hoot watching the four of them go after it. It was also a way to get the pecking order among the boys settled. Tig turned out the be the alpha. He'd get the moth, put his foot down on it so it wouldn't get away, look at the others, lay his ears back, and just hiss! The others would then back off. Was interesting watching that behavior.  And I'll let Rox tell ya about the boxing matches her and Hap would have from time to time.

Ohh our Lil "misHap"  smile I sure miss her.

Yep, we would have little boxing matches. I would stand up, Hap would swat at me, and the game was on. LOL I would put up my dukes and say "ya wanna box?" Hap would then sit on her hind legs and then we would punch at each other. Gawd, I miss those moments.  Sad

I can't look at a pic of her without tearing up.
