New forum look

Well at least for the "Default" (aka Classic) skin. To see the new look you will need to click on the "Profile" button right below the banner above, then in the left sidebar click on "Look and Layout Preferences:", then to the left of the "Current Theme" text you will see a link that says "(change)". Click that link and you will be taken to the skins page. To change to the new skin, in the "Forum or Board Default" skin, click on the "use this theme" link at the far right. And there ya go. Rox created the new banner, and the both of us worked on the new colors etc. Let us know what ya'll think!

wOOt!

Being that I am a man of 'blue', I decided to use the Daze Skin (blue) and so far I am digging it. Thanks Bert for the eye candy.

But, but, but, the new default skin is blue too! ~;-) Frankly I'm surprised that the "Daze" skin works on Webtv. On some of these skins the screen width is jut too much for Webtv's limited screen size to handle correctly. But hey if it works for you, well that's just dandy! The skins that I do know that work well with Webtv (no I haven't tested them all. Hence my surprise at "Daze") "7Dana", and the "Saf" skins. The "Simplicity" skin also does work with Webtv suprisingly, although the center column is a little scrunched.

I've been red since day 1 - staying red, but I do like new design, but it feels a bit cramped on my screen

Hi ML,
Yah "7Dana" is my fav skin also. The new default skin might seem a little cramped, but that's due to it's really optimized for Webtv users at 625 pixels in width.

If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?

Hey cool beaners Bert...
thanks for the constant updates, upgrades and other surprises  wOOt!

I'm trying yours for now but will probly change back to the Haze thingy next time I stop by.

and don't think MY new look is to impress Lady Roxy.. (even tho it is)

I figured if she goes for the sleazy greased back hair look,

maybe i can score a few points with this old pic!

Well, I'm not sure what 'skin' is since I clicked 'Daze' and only saw the button colors changed (I was actually hoping for more of a summer tan) but that's ok. I really came here to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Z-box!! Rox, I LOVE your avatar (even though Bertus' hair is .. er ..) .. WELL ANYWAY .. I'd change mine but, let's face it, what else could *I* possibly be? [she asked modestly].

Anyway, I'm glad you guys are in my life and hope I live long enough to scare you in person at your home someday -- maybe even approach the <gulp> CPanel.

Speaking of your home, I meant the one in Oregon but know the new Mars mission is taking off so, if I don't see you in chat, have a nice visit home, Bertus! :)

Hi KD,
I think it depends on what build on Webtv you are on whether "Daze" and some of the other skins will work for you or not. This is what Daze looks like on my PC:

http://zboxhosting.net/tmp/daze.jpg

In the PC world a "Skin" is also sometimes called a "Theme". Skins are used to just change the entire look and feel of a program or even your desktop. The natural progression for me from doing Webtv sigs, was skinning my PC's desktop:

http://zboxhosting.net/tmp/knotmedt.jpg

Like with Webtv sigs, some folks just don't get the whole skinning thing. Which is fine. If it works for you that's all that matters. ~;-)

Yes Rox's avatar is gorgeous like herself. But my fave was the dog with the big nose. Don't Dis my Bobby Bittman avatar. He was my second favorite character on the old Second City tv show, next to Bob and Doug Mckenzie of course! ~;-)

We look forward to a visit from you or any of our other online friends or ZboXians. We loved being able to spend time with Di and also Virgil. I hope you and Suz can work something out one of these days. We might be in Podunk, but we have a really great hotel and casino here. Oh and did I mention the RV Park? ~;-) And there are campgrounds everywhere. We are blessed to live in truly beautiful country here. Just remember, "Don't feed the Cougars!"

~;-)
