Snow!

Yup we've got it. Been snowing pretty much all day so far with no let up in site. This is rare in this area as our elevation is around 750 ft. Heavy snow warning for elevations above 1000 ft and a snow advisory for elevations below 1000 ft. It's a wet mushy snow as the temp right now is at around 37 degrees. But it has been sticking all day. We are dug in as the road in our little neighborhood is covered and unless we put chains on the Mustang we ain't going anywhere. This will last at least until tomorrow morning but we are expecting snow showers all the way through Tuesday at least.

It just keeps getting better and better. The heavy snow warning has been lowered to 500 ft. We're screwed LOL! We've already had one little power blip. Power went off but came right back on. Hope that's all we have.

Ok looks like we are out of the woods. At least for now. But the National Weather Service is predicting another 4 to 7 inches of snow tonight. The doppler image I posted below will change as time goes by. So it will show the latest. Oh and regarding the power blip, there was a large tree limb that came down in the yard. It probably hit our power line from the pole to the house. So that's most likely what caused the power blip. The house has been getting bombed all day with large snowballs and branches coming out of the tree right next to our house. Very large and old oak tree. If the snow starts up again with colder temps we could get a very large limb to punch a whole in our roof. ~;-)

Woweeeee! Sounds like its really pretty to look at. Dunno about having to hang out in it. After you've thrown a few snowballs and made a snowman... you'll probably be ready for it to go away. Make a snow angel for me!
