First off, if you have the notion to upgrade your PC to Windows Vista, I suggest not to for a bit. But if you absolutely have to and you are using Mcafee antivirus you could experience problems logging into Cpanel and possibly Ziteman and other sites that require authentication. The fix is to remove Mcaffee totally from your machine. Use the Add/Remove programs link in your control panel to do this. Then most likely Mcaffee will still leave a directory on your machine. You will need to go into Explorer and then delete that directory. Then reboot your machine. If you still have problems with entering Cpanel you might check your Windows Firewall settings next to see if that is locking you out. Of course the caveat to all of this is that if you remove Mcaffee from your machine then you will have NO antivirus protection. Which of course isn't good. You could try the free AVG antivirus program at http://grisoft.com of course. But I haven't heard how well it plays with Vista yet so your mileage may vary.

:banana:Greetings all, To late, I have the Vista, but the Macfee wasn't on the new hard drive, It was Norton everything, firewall etc, for 90 days then ya got to buy it. I think norton is to heavy, or what I mean is it drags my PC down. It's gone.. And so because Macfee is free for XP I tried to download it but no go. So I downloaded MSN's live one care for a 90 day free trial, ( it has everything to protect your PC for $69.95) and that is when I started having trouble logging into my sites, and even if I got logged in, I couldn't open a directory. Yesterday I removed Total one care, OH I have the AVG free spyware remover on the new PC form Day one. That got me thinking Because it cleans the best of any tool I have ever tried. I went to Grisoft web site and downloaded a 90 day free trial of a complete coverage, including firewall, etc and it is working greta so far and my PC is moving right along for a Phone modem, LOL I will keep you updated on the AVG grisoft, Only think is, it will cost .... well heck I forgot, either 69.95 0r 99.95 for 2 years, but sa I said if it works very well it will be worth it. Thats my word, LOL Sparks Miester
