"You say you want a revolution... well, ya know.."

Sorry Bert. Of course I don't have a router - modem only(I did know that when you asked, but I guess I've now slipped completely into manic mode), and the only firewall I run is the one that comes with my Norton package. Incidentally, the 2008 version of NIS is much better than was the one for 2006 - I'm really sorry I took the two year option on that pup.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't see why the problem would be at my end, since everything else about my web connectivity is as good as it's ever been. Oh well. I'm off to beddie-byes now, but it's been around 4 hours since I've been able to raise anything at all to do with either of my domains. They're nowhere to be found, not even intermittently.

Same here. No router, zone alarm firewall. Can go any place BUT pdhomes and Amish. Not on a network, single home computer. Even get into 250free.

Hi Mike, Ok well the best thing that could be done would be for you to just use Cpanel and create an addon domain. That will make that directory act as a separate entity. Problem now though is that if you do that, I don't know what would happen to the danceawaysb directory you already have. If you would like to try that, I would suggest zipping the contents of that directory, then deleting the entire directory, then create the addon domain in Cpanel, move the zip into that directory that is created by Cpanel, then go from there. Yup that's complicated. Another option, I can take some space from your main account, and create a new account for the danceawaysb domain. The danceawaysb domain already has the Capricorn nameservers. So propagation should be almost instant. Then you can just zip the contents of that directory and beam it in to the root of the new account. And if you are using relative url's then there won't be a problem. I like keeping things simple. You can even use the same username and password for the new account if you would like (of course I would suggest against doing that, but that's just me.) Let me know what you would like to do. I'll keep the current redirect up until you decide.
One more thing. The .htaccess in your root directory is way to complicated. All of those IP's to deny and of course whitespace in a .htaccess can cause problems. A suggestion. Blow it all out. If you need the mime types to play mod files then keep that. Capricorn is a much more secure server and is monitored 24/7. Keeping your scripts coding secure is not going to be done through IP denials. The best way to do that is keep your coding up to current PHP standards. And yes that could make some of them no longer work for Webtv. It's a catch 22.
~;-)

Hi Velma, Thanks for that, it does tell me a lot. If you are running a firewall turn it off. (Command line will bypass your security settings) If your ISP has a built in firewall then turn whatever firewall you are running on your machine off. More than one firewall can cause problems.

Just zone alarm, but it's configureable. It doesn't always get along with other stuff, so it's setup that I can tell it when to butt in/out. Can even lock down the whole shebang with one click (if or when I need to). Haven't found that to be necessary yet, hope I never have to. Run my other protections manually, keep away from conflicts whenever possible.

That is the way it was set up before the move. I deleted the addon name and tried to add it back, I got this:
Addon Domain Additions Bind reloading on host using rndc zone: [eclecticdjs.com] The subdomain, danceawaysb.eclecticdjs.com has been added. Error from park wrapper: Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum allowed ftp accounts. Removed danceawaysb.eclecticdjs.com Server at line: 4835. The subdomain danceawaysb.eclecticdjs.com was not setup either. When I tried addong it as a parked domain instead, I got this:

My account at pdhomes has been shut down for 2 days also. I turned off kerio firewall and got the same message. Masking for buggyrat.com has not worked since the move either.
Server not found Firefox can't find the server at www.pdhomes.net.

So you know... as of this hour, I'm still unable to access any of my site on anything anywhere near a regular basis - if at all.
