The Original Freeloader Transloader
« on: April 24, 2008, 05:31:01 AM »

Hi;

When I've tried connecting to the Freeloader, I get pop-ups that it's too busy. Is it going to be operational again or is it going to be discontinued?

Thanks

Been a long time since I saw The Freeloader. Amishhosting came with "The Beamer" and several multi-file uploaders and directory movers and I have my own multi-mover. Bert should have copies of them and if he doesn't, I do. Bert can instaul them for you. If you decide to do it yourself, they must all be protected with .htaccess. Mine has built in password protection but you can replace it with .htaccess protection.

I'm aware of all you said, Mike. However, I use The Original Freeloader all the time, and I would like to know if will become operational again, or not?

Hi Doc,
You might have been trying to use it when Domania was offline. Frankly that's been happening a lot lately but will change when we move Domania to it's new home on Capricorn. I have tested the freeloader and it does still work, when it's up.

http://freeload.domania.net/freeload.html

And like Mike said, there are several other options with regards to filemanagers you can use. Depending on your host of course. Actually Mike gave me another good one today, that is easily installed and you won't need to set your own .htaccess file. Let me know if you would like a copy of it.

Bert;

I have other transloaders, but I like The Freeloader. When will the move to Capricorn take place? And it's still down as I write this.

Hi Doc,
Actually we are getting things set up for the Domania move as I'm writing this. So hopefully it will go down in the next three to 4 days. Odd that you can't get to the freeloader, as I just went there again with no problems and I have cleared my history. What platform are you on Doc? Webtv, Msntv2, or PC/Mac?

Bert;

I use a WEBTV. I just tried the Freeloader and it was there and worked fine. I guess it comes and goes? I hope when it's switched to Capricorn it won't play hide and seek.

Thank you.

Well Bert, it's down again. Please post when things are all switched over. If this is what I have to look forward to with a d21c.com account, I'm worried.

Thanks
