deleting old stats

Since we have a new kind of stats we don't seem to be able to use the info from the old stats at all. I think I want to delete some stuff but I don't know what I can safely delete.

I don't know how much space the average user's analog stats files take up but I have over 100 megs of them. If I can't even access them any more they could just get deleted.

Hi Xena,
Yah you have quite a bit. Most folks do who've been around for a while and have never had a "Stats Cleaning" done. Since Cpanel no longer uses Webalizer and Analog it is safe to delete those directories. They are located in your /home/tmp directory. You need to use Cpanels filemanager to access that area as it's outside public_html. Also if you don't use Awstats (I use "Statcounter" from http://www.statcounter.com/ ) It's safe to delete that directory also. Although Cpanel will just recreate it and start from scratch.

If you're not comfortable working outside of public_html but would like your stats cleared out just shoot me and email and I'll take care of it.

That worked good.

I started out with 2189.57 space used. Deleting the analog stats brought me down to 2047.52 and then deleting the webalizer stats brought me down to 1984.1.

200 megs was a nice amount to regain, especially since I was only about 200 megs away from being full.
