Back button quandry

Bert, I've been meaning to mention this for a while, but I hear through the grapevine you've been busy recently with other, erm... more pressing... things.  huh

I have noticed that here in the ZboX forum, when you(read 'I') use the back button to return to a page after linking elsewhere from that page, the back button always returns you('me') to the top of the page we were previously viewing rather than the spot on the page we were looking at when we followed the link. Sometimes, on a short page, that's no big deal, but when you've been reading a long thread with a lot of links, it gets annoying after a while having to scroll down through all the messages over and over again to get back to where you were. What's going on here is such an unusual situation that I suspect there is code included in the SMF scripting that causes this phenomenon to happen, though why that might be escapes me.

Not a big deal comparatively speaking, and not a class A priority for sure, but it would be nice if that button performed the way it does on 99.9999% of the rest of the sites on the web.

(I've noticed that returning from tabs is as per usual everywhere else, but then it would be, wouldn't it?)
