After successfully uploading an avi and a wmp video media file for testing, I was able to view and play the video in the "site manager", but in the C Panel file manager, both files opened as "text".....
Both files played when saved and published on a webpage...however, when using Cpanel for editing and testing, the href to the media files would not open... i.e...Sitemanager allowed the editing and video play but C Panel file manager would not...
Is there a way to view the media files in Cpanel file manager in actual "playing" format as opposed to text file?..Also..when placed on a published "html" page, can the href linking the video media be played like it can when done in sitemanager TIA....

Happy Holidays to you both as well, "Z"... Thanks for the info... I was comparing different FTP clients ..Smart FTP, Cute FTP, WS_FTP... Spoke to a tech at Cute FTP who was trying to 'suade me towards Cute FTP Pro because of its encryption features...You have any thoughts on that as a consideration or favorite that you recommend as a client?...:-)

On the rare times that I actually use an FTP client I use Smart FTP. Why? Uhhhh it was free. I like free. Most times though I just use Siteman. The multi file uploader that appears at the bottom for PC users works great. As for the encryption feature in Cute FTP Pro, that is a really good security feature but I don't know if that would warrant Cute FTP Pro's price. Ut ohhh, watch out for the dancing banana!
