MagickStudio is still down

We are working on trying to find out what the issue is. I haven't changed anything in the script, nothing in the server environment has changed. There is plenty of disk space on the server, so at this point we are at a loss and are trying to troubleshoot the symptoms over in the Imagemagick forum. I'll post more as soon as I know anything.

So is magickstudio up now?  I emailed a while back to get my name/pw (since I forgot it and have a new pc and my pw-remembering-tool didn't have that site in it).

Also, please tell me that MagickStudio is the same as ImageMagick.. and that I don't have to use scripts to run it!! I can play all day at IM (knowing which parameters to plug-in) but that script stuff DJ and Lila do.. whoooosh!

Frankly the ZboX installation of MagickStudio is history.  From this point forward only the packaged versions of ImageMagick will be supported on our servers.

I'm sorry folks but the complete lack of support from the ImageMagick folks for anything MagikStudio is beyond distressing. I have other things to do than to figure out how in h e double hockey sticks to make one of their "upgrades" work. Enough is enough.

They aren't the same but they are both interfaces for the same thing. There is a command line interface for it too. For the code, you can start a lot simpler that what I have posted here. For example, you can swirl with 4 lines of code.

Ok.. so how does one get to the packaged versions of IM? 

It's not a big deal for me.. I use irfanview or paint to my cropping/text stuff but I can always use the online versions of IM for compositing.. just would be nice to do it from in my filemanager.

Hi Misty,
Well you can't access ImageMagick itself unless you either a) Use MagickStudio or b) Use a script or command line. We don't allow staight command line access to the server so the best thing is to use a script. And Mike is the master of IM scripts.
