5 AM and I was only on line for a short time and every thing locked up. Happened some time last night too. No pages will even start to load.

Yah seems Apache locked up and needed to be shut down and restarted. I was asleep so the sysadmins took care of it. We are going to be keeping an eye on this as Apache had an issue a couple of nights ago also.

Just an update on this. It appears Apache was getting hammered from around 20 different IP's in various locations around the world. Not sure if it was a coordinated attack or just a bad bot "frenzy". Those IP's have now been filtered out.
