What 'ya got there??

Yah, don't faint folks we now have a dog. After the loss of our Miss Elvira, I said to Rox, "we need to get another kitten." She said "no, I'm tired of losing cats". And she's right. We've lost more than our fair share over the years. So a couple of days ago Rox came home from work and said we are getting a puppy! Yeeehaaa! So we picked him up this afternoon. He's a basic mutt, a mix of Pitbull and Shar Pei (those chinese wrinkly dogs). He's cute as a bug and fat as all get out. Supposedly his birthday was July 15th. So almost 6 weeks old. His main mode of behavior so far is to just sleep LOL! It's been a trying day!
And without further adieu, I present to the world wide web, Rosco!

I'm tickled about him..such a sweety. But ohhh boy that puppy breath... 
Our Miss Toostsie, just saw him a few minutes ago. Her reponse was to flip her tail and walk outta the room. LOL

Yah, well, a little later, he walked up to Miss Tootsie. His reward was a hiss and a swat which drew a little blood. That was Tootsies "welcome to the family" LOL. Rosco is fine. Little yelp when he got smacked, but that was a lesson.

OMG he's so cute! there's nothing cuter then a puppy or a kitten but I'm a dog person so ummmm to me puppies are always cuter then kittens :)
How big will he get? Shar Pei aren't that big but pit bulls are quit a bit bigger then a Shar Pei.

Awww Awwwwww And Awwwwwwwwwwwww!
Welcome to the dawg world guys.. or i should say guy ang gal. This will be sooo much fun getting the kitties and Roscoe used to each other. There will be alot of belly laughs I bet.

Yah, I know we've been saying for years now that if we ever got a dog it would be a basset pup. But as usual with us, when the time finally came, we didn't have a choice. The only animal choice we've ever made was Miss Tootsie. And that wasn't really a choice as we really wanted her blue eyed sister. But the day before we got her, her sister was killed after crawling into the engine compartment of the owners car. Next day, we got the news, but the owner said "We do have another kitten that has one blue eye and one green." So of course we jumped at that chance. So, no choice there either. Seems life itself brings our animals to us LOL! As soon as I picked up Rosco, I knew. He was the one.
But he does have the sad eyes of a Basset. But the other thing is he's getting more wrinkly. His mother has the Shar Pei in her, and when she was young she had the wrinkles. But she grew out of them. I think Rosco is going the other direction.
