Thursday is the 7th anniversary of the terror attacks on America. While many people wonder why we would want to remember this every year - it's too depressing, it's not happened again, etc - well - if we don't remember it - and we become complacent, it will happen again. If you have a 9/11 tribute page or a patriotic page of any sort - list them here!!!
This is not a tribute page - but a link to all the 9/11 and patriotic stuff I have - NEVER FORGET
Also - back in June I posted about this site - "United We Stand" - which, as far as I can tell was looked at - and then pretty much ignored. Bobbi has several states with no tribute sites - if you have one - or know someone who does - pass this along. I want to see United We Stand full again, like it was in the months and years after 9/11/2001 - Here's the link to my original post - http://zboxhosting.com/board/index.php/topic,778.0.html
Never forget -

wow, i can't believe it's been 7 years, seems like maybe 3 or 4 years ago....
How well i remember that day, I was off work that day and just watching tv, flipping thru the channels. saw the first plane hit, thought it was an accident. then saw the 2nd hit, and knew something was terribly wrong. i called my hubby and my work for the rest of the day keeping them updated. i couldn't keep away from the tv for a week. i took a small tv to the clinic the next day, so those working could watch too. what a terrible day in our history.
i have a tribute site, but is scopes, so i don't think it would help Bobbi. if anyone is interested, here it is:

it still works, according to suz ( i had her check it for me, thanks {{{suz}}})

No it doesn't seem like 7 years. I still feel for all of you folks that saw it happening live on TV. I didn't. I was a long haul truck driver at the time, and was just pulling into a distribution center in Springfield MO when it all started going down. So, I sat in my truck glued to the radio until that evening when I was finally loaded and on the road. It was horrific enough listening to it on the radio, but it in no way prepared me for the shock of actually seeing it via the replays at the truck stop that evening.
One memory that still gives me chills about that day. After the first plane had hit, I was listening to National Public Radio (NPR), and a lady reporter at the station was describing what she was seeing on TV. Of course I was thinking "this is just some weird godawful horrible accident." Just then she says "Wait, there's another plane." and then she just screams! And in the background you can hear everyone in the booth gasping or saying "Oh God!". Right then I knew. We were at war.
Never Forget!!!

Yes, I was in shock all day, hard for the brain to accept what my eyes saw.
today, i've been watching the history channel all morning, it's about the only channel carrying anything about it! only 2 of the local channels carried the pentagons memorial (beautiful memorial park). no national broadcast stations have anything, just normal programming. i don't see anything listed for any of the other memorials either; totally disgusting, if you ask me. also, cspan had it.
msnbc did have a couple of hours of the original news broadcasts, i should say. it's almost 2 in the afternoon, and still can't find anything else on that day. so, back to the history channel....

We just got through watching "102 Minutes" on the History Channel. Frankly it's the most powerful 9/11 related program I have seen to date. As horrific as it was for the rest of us in the US, 102 Minutes really gives you the perspective of the events of that day from a New Yorkers point of view. It's a timelined "guy on the street with a video camera" compilation of that day. And no, it's not easy to watch. We had to catch our breath so to speak a couple of times while watching. But, that being said, it is highly worth watching. Recommended.
