What 'ya got there??

Hi Mike, The forum wouldn't accept it because of the code I'd wager. Actually those types of injection attacks are quite common these days unfortunately.

When I see the word "HACKER" I think of Craig's Domania.
To have a script that is supposed to keep HACKERS out...may work in other ways, too...but how do we, all others know?
Unless one is working to become a host, it would seem only a host should have these scripts?
Is it best just to lock up our sites with zips to keep others out? That way they can have the entire directory if they get in?
Possibly I am not understanding "Hack"......lila

Hi Lila, Basically what these types of attacks are about is this. A "Bad Bot" crusies the web, trying to inject code into the servers logs that will allow someone access to certain parts of the server. Usually it's the email software they want to use so they can send spam. Our servers use scripts and "other means" to render these types of attacks useless. Unfortunately thanks to these types of attacks we do have to purge our log files quite often. As with everything going on and with the number of daily attempts by bad bots our log files can get quite large. A 75 meg log file is quite common LOL!
Regardles,s our servers are very secure. Of course I can't guarantee that no attacks will ever get through as there are so many and the black hats are always working on new ways of getting in. But I'm confident that we are safe as we can be. Also remember, I am not running these servers alone. The sysadmins are very capable at recognizing security issues.
